The HOT Team finished the season as Galileo Division Semifinalists with team Valor from TX and LED Robotics from FL at the 2023 FIRST World Championship in Houston, TX this past weekend.

Brad Farquhar is a LHS alumni who teaches health and personal fitness courses. He also coaches varsity baseball and middle school basketball. Farquhar models Eagle Pride in every role he serves in Lakeland. He grows student leaders both in and outside the classroom.

This weekend, the HOT Team competed in the FIRST in Michigan Robotics State Championship. They finished as Division Semi-Finalists and also brought home the Quality Award which celebrates machine robustness in concept and fabrication. The HOT Team earned enough points at the State Championship to advance to the World Championship April 19-22 in Houston, TX.
