The purpose of promoting health and wellness throughout Huron Valley Schools is to ensure that all students come to school ready to learn. The district works to support the physical and emotional health of students, develop health literacy, and empowers parents and students to access health services and make decisions that promote the health and well being of themselves and others. Research shows that healthy students have better attendance and perform better in school, academically and socially. HVS is committed to addressing barriers to learning through health promotion and disease prevention designed to improve the quality of life for students.
