White Lake Township Supervisor Kowall had the honor to award Lakeland High School Senior Grace Fitzgerald with a scholarship check for $5,000 as the winner of the Fran Anderson "Making a Difference" Essay Scholarship.
Dr. Paul Salah, Superintendent of HVS, has been named the 2024-2025 Honorary Member for the Lakeland NTHS. Dr. Salah was officially recognized during the fall induction, with his certificate presented to him last week by NTHS officer Lydia Fogleman.

Huron Valley Schools is hosting a Future Pathways Event at Milford High School on Thursday, September 26th, 2024. This event is a great way for students and families to attend and learn about careers, colleges, skilled trades, the military, etc. It is open to all HVS families, students, and the general public. Students can use the QR code on the flyer to register in advance and they need to select the Milford High School event as it says on the flyer. During the Huron Valley Schools Opening Day Event, LaFontaine Automotive had the chance to honor the HVS Teachers of the Year for the 2023-2024 school year. In a random drawing for our three HVS teacher of the year nominees, Johnson Elementary School 2nd grade teacher Michelle Bickel won $1,000 for her classroom. She has taught for more than 30 years with the majority of her career at Johnson. White Lake Middle School teacher Anthony Mango won $2,000 for his classroom. He teaches 7th and 8th grade Social Studies and also served as Cross Country and Track Coach and is currently the Lakeland High School boys and girls Golf Coach. Milford High School teacher Jennifer Grubb won a 2-year lease. She is a Special Education teacher at Milford High School and has taught at MHS for 24 years.
