During the Huron Valley Schools Opening Day Event, LaFontaine Automotive had the chance to honor the HVS Teachers of the Year for the 2023-2024 school year. In a random drawing for our three HVS teacher of the year nominees, Johnson Elementary School 2nd grade teacher Michelle Bickel won $1,000 for her classroom. She has taught for more than 30 years with the majority of her career at Johnson. White Lake Middle School teacher Anthony Mango won $2,000 for his classroom. He teaches 7th and 8th grade Social Studies and also served as Cross Country and Track Coach and is currently the Lakeland High School boys and girls Golf Coach. Milford High School teacher Jennifer Grubb won a 2-year lease. She is a Special Education teacher at Milford High School and has taught at MHS for 24 years.
