Huron Valley Schools' Teachers of the Year for the 2023-2024 school year have been chosen and this week Superintendent Dr. Paul Salah, their principal and several board members surprised the teachers in front of their classrooms with the special recognition announcement.
Michelle Bickel, a second grade teacher at Johnson Elementary, is the elementary level Teacher of the Year. She has taught for more than 30 years with the majority of her career at Johnson.
The Huron Valley Schools middle school level Teacher of the Year is 7th and 8th grade Social Studies teacher Anthony Mango from White Lake Middle School. He has also served as Cross Country and Track Coach and is currently the Lakeland High School boys and girls Golf Coach.
Jennifer Grubb has been chosen the Huron Valley Schools Teacher of the Year for the high school level. She is a Special Education teacher at Milford High School and has taught at MHS for 24 years.
