Students from Lakeland's National Art Honor Society attended the once-in-a-lifetime Van Gogh in America exhibit at the Detroit Institute of Arts on Friday, January 6th. Twenty nine Lakeland students attended the special field trip with teachers Mr. Ignagni and Ms. Mack. who worked with the DIA to secure special grant funding that ensured our students would have access to this very unique exhibit. As part of the DIA visit, students were also able to explore their areas of creative interest, with groups of students taking in a special exhibit on printmaking, as well as paintings and sculptures in the modern and contemporary galleries.
