About the PTA Reflections Contest

• Reflections is a national PTA program that encourages students to express themselves through the arts.

• Students create original art inspired by a theme. The 2024-2025 theme is “

  Accepting Imperfection.

  ” Original art must fit into one of the following categories:

  • Dance Choreography

  • Film Production

  • Literature

  • Music Composition

  • Photography

  • Visual Arts

• All Lakeland students are eligible to compete

• Submitted art is judged by the PTSA Board and the top two entries in each category will compete at the state level. Michigan PTA will select entries to compete at the national level for various prizes and recognition.

HELP NEEDED:

• Vending machine: Our PTSA's main source of funds is through the vending machine in the atrium. It is broken, and we are saving for a new one (approx cost: $5,000). If you are connected to a local business who may want to sponsor a portion of a new vending machine, please use this link to

• In January, the PTSA will be looking for volunteers and donations for finals week. We like to provide water and snacks for students between their final exams. Keep an eye out for the SignupGenius in early-January.

• Mr. Lakeland (Feb 2025): committee members needed to plan this NEW Lakeland event - a beauty pageant for the misters at Lakeland! More info coming soon!
