Just some updates on Homecoming this week!

Homecoming Shirts
Homecoming Shirt Pick up is this week from the Lakeland School Store at all three lunches. Monday (today) is Seniors and Juniors, Tuesday will be freshman and sophomores. Wednesday and Thursday is all grades.

Float building:
Thursday, Sept 26 - ALL CLASSES
After school until floats are done or 10pm, whichever comes first
Pizza will be provided
All students and parents/guardians are welcome; no experience needed
Parade is Friday at 5:30pm - starts at Lakewood and travels to Lakeland
We are also looking for owners of convertibles to drive homecoming court members in the parade. If students know of anyone who owns a convertible, please let them know we’d like to invite them to our parade. Please email Lisa Sutton at lisasutton1223@yahoo.com.

Dance Tickets
Dance tickets are on sale all this week in the school store for $25 cash or check or $30 credit. Get them and don’t miss out on the big dance this Saturday!

Football
Our Eagles take on the Warriors of Walled Lake Western in an LVC battle this Friday here at Lakeland. Kick off is at 7pm. Admission is cashless through Go Fan. It is STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to buy your tickets in the Go Fan app or on the Go Fan website IN ADVANCE so you don’t have to wait in line so long. We do take credit cards at the gate, but NOT cash. Thank you!

Homecoming King and Queen
The 2024 LHS Homecoming King and Queen will be announced at halftime of the football game this Friday, after the HV marching band performance.

MDA Miracle Minute
This week, as at most home football games, we will be doing an MDA Miracle Minute through Lakeland DECA. This week we are hoping to break our record of $418 from the first home game. We have a goal of $500 this week to help support MDA. So please bring your cash to the game! If you would like to write a check out to support MDA, please make any checks out to MDA and write Lakeland DECA on the memo line and you can drop that into the buckets as they come around also. If you would like to donate to MDA before the football game or make a corporate donation to help support Lakeland DECA’s effort to support MDA, please also make the check out to MDA with Lakeland DECA in the memo line and you can drop that off to the LHS Main Office attn: Lindsay Rubin or Lakeland DECA.
