Twelve Lakeland students recently "graduated" from a real world training program sponsored by Michigan Works. The students attended 6 meetings where they learned about preparing a resume, preparing for an interview, and how to dress for an interview. They also learned about things like an elevator speech, researching companies, what comes out of a paycheck, the importance of a personalized cover letter.
Lakeland Career Development Facilitator Tammy Jeannette stated "It was so great because the students really showed up both physically and mentally. They participated in the workshop and seemed to enjoy it and learn a lot."
Great job to these students!
