A big thank you to our volunteers and Mrs. Fitzpatrick from White Lake Middle School for coming in today to fit our 5th graders for instruments. Many of our students are interested in growing within their skills and knowledge with Band next school year! #oxbowproud

Today Oxbow had the privilege of meeting story teller, Genot Picor. The students had a wonderful time singing, dancing, and acting out parts of his wonderful Michigan History stories. The kids even had the chance to learn some Native American sign language, as well as a fun game children would play in the past to practice spear fishing.

Oxbow had the pleasure of a recent
visit from Mr. Rich Luterman, Chief
Meteorologist at Fox 2 News. Our
second and fourth grade classes
thoroughly enjoyed learning about
weather patterns and tornadoes. Thank
you, Mr. Luterman.

In celebration of Earth Day, Mrs. Zaleski's class has a blast helping to clean up our school grounds. Mr. Dobrin even made a surprise visit to help out! #Oxbowproud

Mrs. Perkins would like to announce the most checked out book this week!

Ms. McGinnis has her students creating beautiful floral designs inspired by textile designer Eloise Renouf. In celebration of this year's Earth Day, they used recyclable materials during their print making.

Happy Earth Day from Oxbow Elementary! Mrs. Stackpoole's class completed a fun activity where they used recyclable materials to create their Earth Day posters.

Things are definitely warming up at Oxbow this Spring! The students and our great OPC have been putting their art skills to great use to brighten up our Hallways!
