A DIFFERENCE MAKER! Thank you Josh! Our OV Working Leader takes pride in our school, school district, and community. We appreciate how you approach your job with such investment and passion. Thank you Josh!
Thank you Lakeland High School! Our 8th grade students enjoyed the high school visit, and felt a part of the Eagle family!
It's National School Social Work Week, and at HVS, we have some of the best. These professionals help students deal with mental health and behavioral challenges and provide academic and classroom support. They also help in developing education policies and work with teams to support crisis interventions. Thank you, HVS social workers! #HVSProud
The OV staff participating in professional learning! Love the energy, dedication, and focus on learning. Thank you Hornet staff.
Thank you to our NJHS students and candidates who stayed after school yesterday to help clean out the greenhouse. We're hoping to turn this into a fun student hangout in the future.
We’re seeing double at OVMS! We had a lot of fun with Twin Day this week.
Our 7th and 8th grade band members participated in March Musical Madness this week at Milford High School. The students spent the day rehearsing before putting on a evening performance that included a guest conductor.

Spanish students learned about the tradition of eating King Bread (Pan de Reyes o Rosca de Reyes) during the holidays. Mardi Gras is a great time to enjoy King Cake in school. Congratulations to Caden, Chase, Gwyn, and Hayden who found the hidden babies in their dessert.
Mr. Varner's class learned microwave safety this week by making macaroni and cheese!
80's music challenge outside of the choir classroom. Each day, Mrs. Samuels sends out the "match-up" for the day between two 80's songs. Our staff and students vote at the end of seminar. Survive and advance, 80's music style. A perfect way to prepare for March Maddness.
In Mr. Turner's Social Studies class, seventh graders completed a unit on Ancient China. They made (and played) game boards to demonstrate traveling the Silk Road.
Shout out to these leaders! Aidan Saxton and Molly Phillips, met yesterday with Mrs. Tapley and kicked off our Oak Valley Student Advisory Council. They look forward to recruiting more students for next weeks meeting. Please stay tuned for details on how to join :)
We're sending a great big 'Thank You!' to all HVS bus drivers and transportation staff today. Not only do they travel a combined 7,000 miles every day to get our students safely to and from school, field trips and sporting events, they also go above and beyond to support HVS families with their Angel Tree project every year. #HVSProud
