Oxbow Mathletes are going strong playing Kwatro-Sinko this morning. As they try to make a line whose algebraic equation results in a total of 4 or 5, they are working on addition, subtraction, even and odd numbers, networks and observational skills.

This week Mrs. Walker's class worked on First Grade Phonics Fun! They used "secret sentences" to practice reading and writing. They had to use their phonics power and had to remember CAPS (Capitalization, Appearance, Punctuation, Spelling) for their writing! What fun!

Oxbow Staff had a wonderful Michigan vs. State Tail Gate Breakfast this morning! It was a great kick off to our friendly rivalry. Go Blue! Go Green!
Mathletes played Contig 60 this morning. This game works on practicing addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, probability and algebraic principals, and observational skills.
No better way to celebrate the red wings win than playing hockey at empower hour!

This morning our Mathletes played Sum Dominoes & Dice. This game works on computational reasoning involving number sense, missing addend form of subtraction, basic facts through 10, and sums and differences 11-18.
