Good afternoon Oxbow Families,

This was another fantastic week here at Oxbow! The weather was beautiful, our kids enjoyed their time outdoors with one another, and our 2nd -3rd graders learned about fire safety this week. We are all looking forward to a nice long weekend with family and friends!

Positivity Project:

Volunteers Needed at Lunch and Recess:

We are always looking for parents who are interested and willing to volunteer at lunch and recess. We have room to accommodate those volunteers who would like to help indoors or outdoors. As with any volunteering position, you must have a cleared CRC on file with the Main Office. Please reach out to Mrs. Greenleaf if you would like to help out. We are flexible and open to whatever works with your schedule.

Any help in the next 2 weeks will be much appreciated!

Lunch Hours are 11:45-2:00 pm/ daily

Student Dress Code:

As the weather begins to get warmer, we kindly ask for your help and support in ensuring that students are wearing school appropriate clothing. This includes shirts that are not crop tops, spaghetti straps, short spandex shorts, short shorts, or sandals with no socks. As you can imagine, this can be a distraction in the classroom and it could take away from student’s learning. I appreciate your support with this.

Student Summer Workbooks:

We will be passing out the Scholastic Summer Workbooks to all those who requested them next week. These will not have to be submitted in the fall. Please be on the lookout for these!

Ticks:

With the warm weather that we have been experiencing, tick numbers are at a high right now. Please be sure to check your children daily when they get home from school. We also remind the children to quickly complete a self-scan here as well.

Thank you,

Have a wonderful weekend! Happy Memorial Day!
