Extended days - You are invited to the Milford High School Spring Art Show, CPA Lobby. May 3, 2022. The show will now run until May 19, 2022, in the CPA Lobby.

Thank you to The Genisys Credit Union for coming to our Personal Finance classes on Tuesday. The Reality Fair simulates one year of independent living and teaches the students how to manage their finances with a set budget via an app. They choose a career, are assigned a credit score and have to navigate through buying housing, clothing, food, etc. It's very interactive and is a real eye opener for them.

This past season saw the Huron Valley Swim and Dive Programs excel not only in the pool but in the classroom. Both the Boys and Girls swim teams were awarded Academic All-State Honors, with the 2nd and 4th highest team GPAs in Division 1, respectively. Both teams additionally qualified for their first-ever National Scholar Team Gold Award, the highest level awarded, which will place each team somewhere in the top 60 team GPAs in the Country.
This team success would not have been possible without our Seniors, of whom we had 8 individual Academic All-State Athletes; Jessica Duff, Paxton Moore, and Lorenzo Giovannelli from Lakeland, Gracie Smetana, Anna Malik, and Fletcher Smith from Milford, Hassan Ezzeddine and Ian Twigg from IA West.
We would like to give additional recognition to Milford Seniors Gracie Smetana, Anna Malik, and Fletcher Smith as they will be recognized as an Academic All-Americans on behalf of the National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association.
Congratulations on a great year in the Pool and in the Classroom

Drumroll, please! We are so proud to announce Milford High School's 2022 valedictorian and salutatorians. Earning a 4.44, one of the highest GPAs ever at MHS, senior Fletcher Smith has earned the top spot: Valedictorian.
Seniors Zachary Bonza-Brodie and Erin Scheske each earned a 4.41 and will share the honor of salutatorian.
Seven other seniors also earned top GPA honors: Nicholas Blanchard, Grace Carey, Paige Crowley, Elise Elliot, Ryan Meyer, Kenna Morgan, and Ella Warzecha, each earning well above a 4.0.
In order to earn above the traditional 4.00, students must excel in all classes including many Advanced Placement-level courses. Each of these students has worked tirelessly to be the best and this academic feat could not have been accomplished without a high degree of dedication, perseverance, and determination. These students exemplify the HVS Vision: Inspiring and Building Futures, One Student at a Time.
Congratulations! #HVSProud

This week in our Personal Finance classes, we had a guest speaker, Craig Sapelak, from Lake Michigan Credit Union visit to discuss the importance of your credit score. Mr. Sapelak shared how to build up good credit and the repercussions of having a low credit score. Our students enjoyed the question and answer opportunities along with the donut holes he brought for the students. His visit provided students with excellent information from a business perspective and reinforced what they have been working hard to learn in class.

Please congratulate members of the HVS-GMPG HOT Robotics Team on their 2022 Troy District Win!
During Spring Break (March 31-April 2) the HOT Team competed with 40 teams from around Michigan in the Troy District Robotics Event. Through the 80 qualification matches leading into the elimination tournament, the HOT Team traded top rankings with Team RUSH, from Clarkston. The HOT Team ended as the second seed and was picked by team RUSH as their first alliance partner. The second pick was the Benzene Bots, from the IA East. Our alliance won the tournament in dramatic form earning a top score of 150 points. The HOT Team was awarded the GM Industrial Design Award for their elegant, efficient, and practical engineering. The tournament's judges found the HOTBot distinguished itself from all other robots in its aesthetic and functional design.
The Troy award and win combined with the HOT team's Milford Tournament results to all but officially qualify the team for the State Tournament at SVSU April 13-16.
