This past weekend, at Livonia Churchill HS, our band students had an incredible showing at State Solo and Ensemble Festival. There were 25 events performed, with 3 of them receiving Excellent (II) Ratings, and 22 receiving Superior Ratings. Every single performer from Huron Valley medaled!

This past Friday and Saturday was the MSBOA District IV Solo and Ensemble Festival at Novi High School. There were 96 individual performances within 38 events this year with our combined MHS, LHS and IA West students! Our students received medals for 93 out of 96 performances! 85 of these were Superior Ratings (I), which is the highest rating! 8 were Excellent Rating (II), which is the next highest! 97% of our students medaled, while an incredible 89% of our performances received Superior ratings. This is absolutely incredible. Over the last 2 year trend, we've gone from approximately 50% receiving Superior to almost 90%. In addition, our participation has gone up 150%. Congratulations to these outstanding students from all 3 of our programs. ALL of the Superior Ratings awarded qualify for State Solo and Ensemble next month!
