Milford High School is proud to announce that Jillian Empie has been selected as the Oakland Schools Annual Career and Technical Education (CTE) Student of the Year. This prestigious honor highlights Jillian’s outstanding achievements and dedication to both her academics and extracurricular involvement.
CTE programs are designed to prepare students for a wide range of careers and postsecondary opportunities. During her time at MHS, Jillian has built an academic portfolio including CTE courses in marketing, business, and accounting. In her senior year, she further grew her experience through a career internship with Milford DECA.
In addition to her academic excellence, Jillian has been an active member of Milford’s DECA chapter for all four years, earning recognition at both the District and State levels.
“Jillian always goes the extra mile, cares deeply about our programs, is a diligent student, and is always willing to support new DECA members,” said Kelly Janeczek, Business Teacher and DECA Advisor at Milford. “We are fortunate to have exceptional students like Jillian in our CTE program.”
Congratulations to Jillian Empie on this well-deserved recognition—we are proud to have her represent Milford High School.
