Heritage students had a wild and educational experience this November as they got up close and personal with some fascinating creatures through Science Alive! Program. The event brought a menagerie of animals for the students to meet, while also teaching them about habitats and animal adaptations.
The students had the chance to meet Nacho the Chinchilla, Blue the Blue-Tongued Skink, Sweet Baby Ginger the Two-Toed Sloth, Pickle the Giant African Pixie Frog, and Freckles the Burmese Python. Each of these creatures showcased unique traits and adaptations that help them survive in their respective environments.
Nacho the Chinchilla, known for its soft fur and quick agility, gave students insights into how these fluffy creatures adapt to high-altitude habitats. Blue the Blue-Tongued Skink revealed its distinctive blue tongue and taught students about its diet and survival skills.
Sweet Baby Ginger, the adorable two-toed sloth, charmed everyone with its slow movements and taught the students about life in the rainforest. Pickle, the Giant African Pixie Frog, showcased its unique features and adaptations for survival in tropical environments.
Lastly, Freckles the Burmese Python displayed its impressive size and taught students about the life of a snake in the wild.
