This past week Milford High School hosted their 6th Annual Charity Week. Charity Week consists of students and staff participating in a variety of activities throughout the week with the intent to raise money for a cause selected by our own Milford High School Leadership team. This year we selected to support one of our very own, Jordan Tippin, as she battles a recent cancer diagnosis. Funds raised went directly to Jordan and her family to help with medical costs. Along with supporting Jordan, we decided to include bringing recognition and financial support to the Annjenette Foundation which is an organization that supports families who are going through cancer.
This past week was one of inspiration and a great example of the Milford spirit. The sense of community was off the charts as students, staff, families, and businesses stepped up in a big way. With everyone’s collective efforts we were able to raise a school record total of $50,142. On Friday, it was great to see the visual our Milford community at our final Charity Week assembly as we were able to present the check to the Tippin Family and Annjennette Foundation.
