Last week’s students acknowledged for demonstrating S.O.A.R. Values! Great job Lakewood Hawks for getting caught being good! Congratulations to these
students as well as all the others who were given a ticket last week.
This is a photo of Mrs. Segura's 2nd grade class when they made cards for the Hospital Heroes.
Has your child mentioned S.O.A.R. to you? Show Pride & Respect, Obtain Goals, Act Responsibly, Remember Safety (S.O.A.R.) are our school guidelines to make sure everyone is being the best Lakewood Hawk they can be. All staff members carry SOAR tickets and pass them out to any student that they
observe throughout the building showing leadership or SOAR qualities. The students then put their name on the ticket and place it in a box in their centrum. We have weekly prizes as well as whole school goals and prizes. Currently the students are working towards a hat day they will earn once 500 tickets have been earned. It's wonderful to see their joy when they are caught doing something good and immediately rewarded with a SOAR ticket. It really makes good behavior contagious! The 10 names that were pulled this week for the morning announcements were: Evelyn Mazzara, Veida Irvine, Bailey Wilson. Cam Robins, Jack Reiher, Ella St. Clair, Laura Hughes, Brooklyn Sprague, Raylynn Hatig and Emma Hopkins. Congratulations to these students as well as all the others who were given a ticket this week.
Kindergarten got to explore color mixing with fluorescent paint this week in art class under the black lights purchased by our amazing PTA.
