A special thanks to everyone that came out to the Kids Heart Challenge on Saturday, as well as Ms. Kormos, our amazing long-term guest PE teacher for facilitating this event!
Less than $800 and we will reach our goal. Donations can be made until February 8th.

Today we welcomed MHS and WBHS Unified Sports teams to Lakewood for a basketball scrimmage! Lakewood Hawks had a wonderful time cheering the students on while they played! Many students made signs to offer their support. All Lakewood students, and many staff, wore our new SOMI shirts, featuring a student's winning design! We are so proud to kick off our first year as a unified school with such fun activities and events. What a great opportunity for our young students to see the potential that everyone has, and what it truly means to belong! #HVSsuccess #WeAreHVS

Glow big or go home!! Our hawks' smiles radiated throughout Lakewood yesterday after enjoying their well deserved glow lunch. Thank you to our PTA for shining bright in their set up for this fun event!

The Lakeland High School hockey team players each recognized their most impactful teacher. Yesterday, Carter Sutton, recognized Mrs. Minna as his! What a meaningful moment that our current fourth graders were able to witness. Great job Carter, and congrats Mrs. Minna!

**Attention** There has been a change in lunch for tomorrow, Tuesday 1/28. Our kitchen manager was notified this morning that we will not be having Little Caesars pizza tomorrow. We will instead have Chef's choice (a misc. of several items). Please pack your child a lunch if they would prefer something else. Sorry for the late notice and thank you for understanding.

Don't go bacon my heart, I couldn't if I fried! Once again, our PTA moms blew our hallway displays out of the water. These fun designs bring so many smiles to students and staffs faces as they walk through the Lakewood halls.

Students have earned an exciting incentive for raising over $20,000 in the Color Run in October. On Monday, January 27th, the PTA will be decorating for all lunches for them to glow crazy!
Kids are welcome to wear clothing that will glow in the dark and/or are black light reactive, but please keep in mind that this is in no way required for them to have a good time. We can’t wait to celebrate them being glow-getters!

We got spirit, yes we do, we got spirit, how bout you? Good luck tomorrow, lions! Lakewood staff and students are cheering you on!

You are never too old to play in the snow! Today our program students had a blast sledding behind the school on a fresh snow hill with their friends and staff! Look at those smiles :)

Fire Prevention Month is observed in October, but the White Lake Township Fire Department believes fire safety should be a year-round priority. This week, all grades enjoyed an interactive presentation to teach them about fire safety in a fun and engaging way.
