The Kurtz PTA has a fun event planned for Tuesday, November 22. Put it on your calendars! Join Kurtz students at Rollerrama in Brighton from 6:30-8:30 pm. The cost will be $8.50 per student. Check out the flyer for more information.
The Kurtz Bullying Prevention Team presented at the Board of Education meeting on Monday, September 17. The kids did an awesome job! Wear Orange on Wednesday, September 19 in support of Unity Day.
We hope students will bring in a picture of your Veteran to be honored on our hallway board!
We will need to know:
What is his/her name?
Which branch of the military they served in?
What rank they achieved and the dates for when they served?
Which student or students they are related to.(example: Billy Smith’s Grandpa)
Also include the student’s teacher’s name.
Please give your picture to your classroom teacher.
We will make sure to get these treasured pictures back to you at the end of the month.
Also, remember that students can support the War Dogs Memorial by wearing a hat to school each Friday in October. Students can make a donation to this great cause. We will be giving any funds collected to the group during our Veterans Day Ceremony on 11/11.

Curriculum Night is this Thursday from 6-7 pm. Teachers will give two presentations, one starting at 6:00 and the other starting at 6:30 to accommodate multi-student families. Please enter through our new main entrance. We can't wait to see you!
