Send in spare change to your student’s teacher between 3/3 – 3/14! Each grade (JK+K – 5) will act as a team to earn the most points by filling their jug.
ADD POINTS to your grade’s jug by adding pennies and dollar bills. SUBTRACT POINTS from other grades by adding silver coins to their jug.


Friday, we kicked off our month long celebration. In school, your child will be invited to answer daily trivia questions based on the previous night's reading.



A great time was had by all at the March is Reading Month assembly. This year's theme is Adventure!

In Technology class, Highland Students are using a coding program from Osmos on loan from Oakland Schools. The program is called Awbie! Our futures are in good hands.

Another successful Kids Heart Challenge for Highland Elementary!



It's that time of year again - Kindergarten Orientation! Parents of incoming JK and Kindergarteners for the fall of 2025, please join us on March 13th at 6:00 pm for information on what you can expect for your student.


Today is a HALF DAY of school. Student will be released at 12:40.


Tomorrow is a HALF DAY OF SCHOOL. Students will be released at 12:40

He’s sharing Finn’s Mission so we can all help kids with special hearts - kids like him! He’s also set a goal to get as many families as possible to learn about heart health and the lifesaving skill of Hands-Only CPR.
Complete Finn’s Mission to earn your very own Lifesavers Cape and Students that
complete Finn’s Mission will earn an entry for two tickets to Super Bowl LX in
2026 and your school will be entered to receive a $10,000 fitness equipment makeover for every 18 students who complete Finn’s Mission.


Valentine Candy Grams – A Fundraiser for a School Assembly!
The Highland Elementary Leadership Team will be selling Valentine Candy Grams as a fundraiser for a school assembly. Candy Grams consist of one sucker for $1.00. These Valentine Grams can be sent to friends, siblings, staff, or teachers.
If interested, please fill out the tags and return them with cash in an envelope to school by Monday, February 3rd. Valentine Grams will be delivered on Thursday, February 13th.
