On May 7, 2024 voters in the Huron Valley Schools will consider a bond proposal focused on 3 key areas: safety and security upgrades, infrastructure upgrades, and upgrades to support modernizing educational settings and new programming. What the Bond Dollars are used for

Bond 2024 proceeds can ony be used on projects/buildings owned by the district so revenue stays in Huron Valley Schools.  Bond dollars can be used for safety and security upgrades, construction and remodeling of facilities, purchase of technology equipment and furniture, site improvements and purchase of buses.  Bond dollars cannot be used for staff salaries and wages, general operating expenses, repairs and maintenance, classroom supplies and textbooks, or administrative costs.

Safety and security upgrades: building on the improvements of the last bond program, Bond 2024 will continue to enhance the safety of our students & teachers through: replacement of exterior doors, replacement of windows utilizing latest technologies in glass replacement, replacement of fire alarm systems, technology security upgrades, replace and expand video cameras, expand door access control for additions/renovations, emergency alert system, improve A system, replace staff radios, replacement of aging buses, design of secure entries at our Milford campus middle school and transformed White Lake Middle School

Hungry Howies Fundraiser Night Tuesday April 23, 2024 4-8 pm.  Highland Hungry Howies 2330 S Milford Rd, Highland MI (in front of Milford High School).  10% of all proceeds during this time will be donated to Highland Elementary.  Take a night off cooking, make it a pizza night and support our school!

The HVS Middle School Experience.  Goals for creating middle/high school campuses:  sharing of MS/HS staff, particularly in the Career Tech Education, world language, and fine arts programs.  Reducing the number of bus routes, providing estimated $1.3-$1.7 million cost savings annually.  Sharing of innovative spaces such as a future Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) lab, performing arts, athletic spaces, etc.  Providing equitable opportunities for all students/parity on both campuses.  Increasing mentoring opportunities between students.
