At Spring Mills, we believe community service and citizenship are at the heart of shaping compassionate, well-rounded individuals. This year, our fifth graders hosted a coat and winter gear drive to support those in need within our Spring Mills community and through the Community Sharing Outreach Center. This remarkable nonprofit serves Highland Township and nearby areas, offering food, clothing, financial assistance, and other essential resources to individuals and families.
The students’ efforts were a tremendous success, collecting 12 bags filled with coats, snow pants, hats, gloves, and boots in sizes ranging from 5/6 through adult. As Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said, "Everybody can be great because everybody can serve." Through this drive, our students came together to serve others and make a meaningful difference.
