Big News!!
Lakewood has been working on a T-shirt Competition to kick off our journey as a Special Olympics Unified School! The theme for this year's competition is "BELONG", and we’ve inviting all students to submit their creative designs that capture the spirit of inclusion and belonging. T Shirt design voting is underway and should be complete this week! A huge shout out to Mrs. Kiebel for making this happen for all grade levels! We are so excited to see which design won and to start representing BELONGING around our Lakewood building!

Our staff focused on honoring the memory of our beloved teacher, Kelly Stachura during our Halloween celebrations. We dressed up in costumes that reflected the things that Kelly loved, such as Care Bears, Christmas, The 80’s, Gardening, The Price is Right, etc. Mrs. Stachura’s mom also participated in the Kindergarten Halloween party, and she sat in Kelly’s rocking chair outside while watching our parade. Yesterday was a great day to honor Kelly Stachura’s memory.
