I hope you were able to enjoy the spring break week with your children.
This week our students kicked off their return to school with our SOAR assemblies. On either Monday or Tuesday, your child circulated around the school to review expectations in their classroom, the cafeteria, and the playground.
Thank you to White Lake Police Department for patrolling our drop off line this week to make sure traffic laws such as stopping at the stop signs, traveling at a low speed, and following the correct traffic patterns are being followed. The Lakewood community greatly appreciates their support.
Today is the end of term 3. Next week, our 3rd and 5th grade students will begin M-Step testing. 4th grade students will begin the following week. 3rd and 5th grade students will be taking the English Language Arts M-Step. Staff and Students participating in the M-Step will not be allowed to wear Smartwatches during the testing period. This is a rule made by the state that we must adhere to, no exceptions. Additionally, we are not allowed to have volunteers in the building during testing periods. If you are scheduled to volunteer on a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday between now and May 1st, please check-in with the teacher you are supposed to volunteer for to make alternate arrangements.
