Ms. Hattie's class has been working hard learning "whole body listening" and what we CAN do. The kids worked on their fine motor skills also, by cutting, gluing, and coloring their own Mr. Potato head pieces. In their groups, we did each part at a time, so we had time to talk about each body part individually, and what we can do.

In Mrs. Varcie's and Mrs. Kolb’s room this week the students enjoyed the sunshine using the parachute outside. The students worked on following directions and letter identification while playing parachute popcorn with letter bean bags.

Springtime fun in Mrs. Perry and Mrs. Quinn's classroom.

The Green Beans expanded their interest in babies by playing a matching game with their own baby pictures and putting it together to create a class baby book! They have been pretending to be doctors, playing with sounds in nursery rhymes, and talking about how to properly care for babies. They are such a compassionate and caring bunch! 💚

Staff with HVS Early Intervention Program work in collaboration with families to assess, plan and implement support that is individually unique. This family-centered approach focuses on family dynamics, priorities and concerns. Together we incorporate a support plan to meet the needs of the child within their routines in their natural environment. Please call if you have concerns about your child's development. 1-800-EARLY ON

"The Valley Chatters speech group participated in a leprechaun scavenger hunt around Apollo! Each child got a turn to lead the group while using their targeted speech sounds and find hidden treasures that the leprechaun left behind!"

During small group, in Ms. Robyn's class, our friends worked very hard together creating a Rocketship of their own. Up, up and away, we love space!

In Early Intervention Parent-Tot groups this month we have been practicing using the Core Vocabulary word "make". Here one of our students is "making" delicious cupcakes for his mom!

“Ms. Alivia’s class worked on strengthening their fine motor skills with Play-Doh and scissors! Some friends also practiced early writing skills by using letter, number, and shape Play-Doh mats on their trays."

The Valley Chatters group is busy participating in weekly phonemic awareness activities and getting their wiggles out with the Freeze Dance.

Mrs Concienne’s class has been learning about kindness and friendship. They drew names and made friendship bracelets for the child they chose. The children were very excited to give and receive their special bracelets.
