Make sure your vote counts. Don't forget to fill out and turn in your absentee ballots. Mailed absentee ballots must be received by a local clerk by 8 p.m. on Election Day. Ballots not received by this time will not be counted. Voters are encouraged to mail an absentee ballot at least two weeks before Election Day to avoid potential mailing delays.

Registration for the Winter Semester is now underway for HVS Adult Education. Western Oakland Transportation Authority (WOTA) is piloting a new program in Highland- transportation for anyone 18 or older. That's right...anyone can ride WOTA. The cost is $4 per stop and appointments must be made 3 days in advance. Work, medical, shopping, whatever you need - WOTA can get you there!
